The Cave of the Milodon is a located natural accident in the western slope of the Benitez Hill. One is a cavern of great dimensions: of stop 80 200 meter and, 30 meters meters wide of depth.

The cientifico interest of the place is given by the finding, in 1896, of skin, bones and other rest of an extinct animal, milodón (Mylodon darwini), hervíboro of great dimensions that was extinguished, probably, by the end of the Pleistocene (about 8,000 to 10,000 years back).




One is within the National Park Towers of the Paine (XII Region). Its name must it flavor to the bitter of its waters, with high content of ferruginous salts; they appear in its borders and they concentrate by evaporation, leaving a white and soft layer in the shore, that contrasts with the color to the interior of the lake.


This waterfall is a geographical accident that joins the lakes Nordenskjold and Pehoé. On its border, there is an authorized overlook place, from which it is possible to watch the beauty of the landscape. Apart from this, there is a path that ends on the west border of the Lago Nordenskjold, opposite to the Paine Mountain range.



The Lake Congregation and the glacier of its same name, are one of the places that really cannot be lost. The ice sets are an additional ingredient to still more embellish the majestic landscape of the place.

Of six kilometers wide and 60 meters of height, the Glacier Congregation is the greatest of the Park Towers of the Paine. From your viewpoint located to a flank of the ice, you will be able to appreciate of better way the spectacular Vista.


This lake is bounded by two waterfalls, the Salto Grande (Large Waterfall) by the north and the Salto Chico (Small Waterfall) by the south. This lake has a glacial origin and in the Aóniken dialect, the word Pehoé means hidden lake.

This lake took its name in honor of Otto Nordenskjold, a botanist who contributed to the studies of the native flora in the Patagonia. The Park has a number of rivers, lagoons and lakes, the origin of which is due to the melting of glaciers that exist in it. The Lago Nordenskjold is one of these lakes, with its deeply turquoise waters, the color of which is produced by the algae located at the bottom.
